Does Health Insurance Pay for the Cost Incurred in Orthodontics Treatment?

I am quite aware of all kind of insurance except that of health insurance. I have heard from many people that health insurance cover the treatment expenses of orthodontic treatment while some people say the contrary of it.

I am quite confused and would like to know from the people concerned to throw some amount of light on this issue.

Thanks in Advance

To enlighten you, I should tell you that the medical insurance can cover the treatment expenses so incurred in orthodontics only under special circumstances like injury to the jaws or some kind of facial deformity. If it is not the case, then the health insurance would cover only the dental expenses.

Orthodontics treatment does require a bunch of money and to make it affordable, you got to apply for the orthodontic insurance plans from various companies like Aetna, Delta Dental, and MetLife etc. the coverage amount varies from one plan to another and the maximum amount that can be financed is only the 50% of the expenses and the rest amount has to be managed from your side.
