Is it true that Acai Berry Kill Cancer Cells?

One of my elders is having cancer and I was searching for some herbal medicines that I can give to him. Doctors are doing their work but they are not getting well. I listen that Acai Berry can be helpful in cancer, is it true? I would like to know the complete truth.

Hello and its sad that your elder having cancer which is a very chronic diseases that doctors still finding the cure. I was reading a magazine and from there I got the reference about a Journal.

The University of Florida study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry on Jan 12. 2006 found that the Acai berries are triggered a self destruct response in up to the 86 percent of the leukemia cells tested in vitro. While the doctors consider that this Acai killed cultured cancer cells in a test tube but this is very different than killing the cancer cells in the human body. There is still much more research needs to be done before anyone can clearly claim that Acai Berry Kill the Cancer cells in human body.
