I suffered for years from hives which could become so bad that I could hardly stand clothes against my skin. I tried many remedies. Some did not help at all. Some gave only minor relief. The remedy that works for me is called "Hives," & is made by Newton Homeopathics. I have purchased these hives drops from health stores as well as directly from the company at www.newtonlabs.net. The drops only cost about $12.00 per one ounce bottle. It lasts a long time because the dosage is just 3-6 drops on the tongue every 15 minutes until sympotms subside. I usually take 6 drops. When I researched homeopathic remedies, I learned that it is crucial to follow the directions, taking the next dose when you should instead of waiting. Mildew cannot be avoided since it is in many public places. My allergy is considered severe, yet these drops gave me my life back.
I have sent them to three relatives living in various parts of the country. They are unaware of what is causing their allergies, but the drops worked for them also.
I don't know if this is typical or not, but I noticed that I have needed the drops less & less. I began using them years ago, now I still carry them when traveling, but it is rare that I need to use them. I can tolerate a little exposure to mildew & notice either no symptoms or minor symptoms which go away on their own. For moderate exposure to mildew during the day, I may need the drops at night, but only one or two doses is all that is needed.
If your husband will be prepared to use the drops as often as needed in the beginning, I am hopeful that he will also find that he needs them less & less.
